How to give your money great leadership inside your business and your life.

Many of us struggle when it comes to figuring out how we are going to make sure we have enough money in the next few months, the next few years and how on earth are we going to retire?  I’ve always been a very good saver but over the years I’ve never quite figured out how to make it work for me in a way that helps me to earn an additional monthly income.  I’ve also had to dip into my savings over the years which has left me not where I’d hope to be financially.

As a child I struggled with maths and numbers. I drove my teachers insane! My parents tried to help me and by the time I was 12, I’d made up my mind “this wasn’t for me” and would switch off as soon as anything related to maths came my way. When I attended maths classes out of force, I would open up a book and sat there and did my own thing. When writing exams I’d do all the adding and subtracting questions, put my head on the desk and sleep until the exam was over. It was that bad.  I could only add on my fingers and when I landed a job in the casino industry I had to learn to add to 21 but the casino industry was my lifesaver as I finally learnt to multiply, add and subtract and work with figures.

Managing your money, learning how to invest your money so that it works for you cannot be that difficult but because none of us have been taught how, we end up struggling and being a slave to money and having to work long hours to make ends meet.  Who on earth wants to do that?

When I discovered Ann Wilson’s website through my lovely friend Liz Chukwu I was a bit sceptical because I have found to date that everyone I dealt with in finance spoke another language that no-one understood unless you were a mathematician or worked in finance, for a creative person this is a complete nightmare! Liz kept on raving and I kept on watching and besides I was going through a difficult time. I then signed up for one of the free courses which and I learnt a lot so I signed up for one of the products and bought Anne’s book and all I can say, THIS IS A MUST! for anyone who struggles to make sense of money and how to invest it so that it works for you.

Ann explains things in a way that it is easy for you grasp. I now know how much I will need to retire. I know what insurance to buy and how much to cover for and what I don’t need and now I just have to share this with you and so I invited Ann to come and do a hangout with me and she has agreed.  YAY!

Let’s do this and rock our finances in 2014 and going forward.  When Ann asked me what topic we should cover in our hangout.  I mentioned how many of us are in business and some of us are struggling.  We can pay the bills but that’s as far as it gets.  For a number of us who are who are in our late 40’s cannot afford to waste any more time and we need to take control and if anything I want Ann to show us how we can make money work for us to a point where we are generating an income that is outside of our businesses and working for us in the background so that in a few years we can relax and be financially free, if we apply what Ann shares with us.
