Webcash,SA Online Payment Processing Review

Webcash is an online payment processing system for small businesses who are based in South Africa.  Hoorah, or so I thought.

Signing up to the account was relatively easy.  I had to submit certain documents which was a bit of a headache.  I understand that one has to submit proof but when I submitted a tax certificate from my bank to prove that it was my bank account that wasn’t good enough.  After being accepted I logged into the account and while it looks easy to use it began to become rather frustrating.  I could not figure out how to set up being able to process orders online.     We all know how easy it is for me to work these things out.  I’ve worked on some seriously complex platforms like 1shoppingcart.

The help section is dreadful, with no proper step by step how to guide.  Support do respond to your emails but they did not give me a proper helpful solution and kept on referring me back the unhelpful help page.  I would not be contacting support if there were decent user guides and tutorials.

After a few emails back and forth I’ve discovered that you would need a web developer to assist you and the info on the help page is still very unhelpful in terms of how all that works.

This product is really un user friendly and after the last email I basically gave up trying and moving on to the next system to find a user friendly helpful solution.
