Where is the positive feedback?
Most of us have lived our lives with a lot of negative comments and feedback. Why is it that more often than not people are quick to judge, quick to tell us what we are doing wrong and quick to dismiss us because of something we’ve said or done.
How about we change that. Let’s give feedback by making a conscious effort to give more positive and constructive feedback. Brighten someone’s day, appreciate the people around you, value the work they do and the value they add to your life.
Thank your loved ones for sticking by you, for their support and for the love they give you. Tell your children how important they are. If they’ve helped you with something, let them know.
In the work place constantly be thankful and give positive and constructive feedback as much as possible. If a colleague has saved the day, tell them so. If they’ve executed a task well, be thankful and let them know. On areas where improvement is needed, provide the solution and work together.
Show your support to those who provide you with entertainment, enlightenment and who train you. Let them know it was a good show and say why it was good. Maybe you learnt something new, maybe it motivated and inspired you, or perhaps it helped you think differently.
Give feedback on the things you’d like to see and hear more of. Give feedback on ways they can improve, if something is lacking. Maybe you’d like more actions, maybe you’d like to learn more about a specific product, tool or topic. What do you want? Open up the communication. Help them be better at what they do so they can make your day.
People have been so under valued that they are stuck with self limiting beliefs of “I’m not good enough.” Don’t assume that someone knows they’ve done well. More often than not people go about feeling unappreciated because they need to hear it from you. It makes them feel special. It boosts their confidence and in some cases can literally be someone’s lifeline The more we uplift one another the better results we will have both personally and professionally.
Stop and think about it for a moment, think about how much you would love to know just how your associates love your work, you’d love to know what you can do more of to make someone else’s life better. You’d love to hear your boss say, “I love your work” That says just as much as you love it, so do the people around you. Go on and begin the process they need to hear it from you.

It is true people are quick to pull you up for something negative especially at work and especially bosses
