Are you wasting your customers time with your excuses?
If you care about your customers then you will take online seriously. It’s not about what you want it is about what your customers want. I should hope so, otherwise it may be difficult to stay in business. Common excuses I hear are, no one can tell me the ROI, I don’t have the time, it’s not safe on the internet, I hate computers, computers and social media are for the younger generation. Are these excuses just away for you to avoid the inevitable?
Then I have to ask, “Do you really care about what your customers want?” Because it sounds more like it’s about what you want. In today’s extremely busy world where time is a valuable commodity and money is scarce, why would they want to get in their car, drive in traffic, stand in queues and waste valuable time and money if there is an easier and quicker alternative that allows them to free up time and save money? You should in fact be asking, “How can I make things more convenient for my customers?” “How can I save them time and money?” One of the best ways to do this is by getting yourself and your staff up skilled and by being online. Offer your customers convenient solutions in the form of customer service portals, in the form of online shopping, in the form of providing valuable information to help them make an informed decision. To avoid online is like shooting yourself in the foot really.

Never thought of it like that before. I’m not a lover of all this social media stuff but now I’ll make more of an effort.
