Legal information you must display on your website?

I generally see all things legal as confusing but for some time now I’ve been wondering how legal stuff will work online when it comes to your website and to your online presence in general.

This morning while I was working on a client project I stumbled across a post about some very important legal information you should know about when it comes to your website and online presence.

While I know that the domain ending is country specific and what I mean by this, if the domain ends in .co.za it means that it is a domain for South Africa.  If it ends in .co.uk it is a domain for the UK and one of the things that robots do when they index websites is index them according to country.  However, what I did not know is that the ending of that domain is protected or under the law of that country or territory.  So if your domain ends in .co.za then you are protected or covered by South African law.  What I am not sure of however,  is how .com’s or .co’s or .tv’s and .mobi’s work under which country it falls and my guess would be USA.

The article also covers some interesting information related to graphics and copyright and a disclaimer you must have on your website.  Take a moment to read this very informative and useful article by De Kock Attorneys 10 ways to legally protect your business online.

My Pleasure Israel, it’s crucial people know, very few people actually do this or know about it.
